ISO implementation and certification coordination

ISO Certification and Implementation Support in the UAE

Get practical help preparing your business for ISO certification, with clearly scoped implementation support and a route to suitable independent certification providers.

Service area: businesses across the UAE, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates. Delivery is coordinated remotely; on-site support depends on the agreed scope.

Who does what on the way to ISO certification Three stages: your business defines scope and owns the management system; implementation support builds and prepares it; an independent certification body audits and decides on certification. 1 Your business Defines scope, owns the management system, provides evidence and approvals 2 Implementation support Gap assessment, documentation, training, internal audit and audit-readiness support 3 Independent certification body Audits your system and decides on certification. ISO itself does not certify.
Implementation support and certification are separate activities, done by separate parties.

Quick ISO selector

Find the right ISO standard for your business

Most UAE buyers do not need every standard. Pick the one your customers, tenders or internal risks point to, or use the guide below if you are unsure.

Which standard is usually behind the request?
What you are being asked forStandard to consider
Enterprise customers send security questionnaires or ask how you protect their dataISO/IEC 27001
A tender, contractor pre-qualification or customer asks for a quality management systemISO 9001
You build, sell or deploy AI systems and customers ask about AI governance and riskISO/IEC 42001
You process personal data and want a recognised privacy management frameworkISO/IEC 27701
Contracts or regulators expect you to keep critical services running through disruptionISO 22301
You deliver or buy managed IT services under agreed service levelsISO/IEC 20000-1

This is a starting point, not advice on your specific obligations. Requirements come from your customers, contracts, regulators and risk profile. Not sure? Choose “Not sure” on the quote form and we will help you narrow it down.

Delivery model

Implementation and certification are two different jobs

ISO publishes standards but does not certify organisations or issue certificates. Certification is performed by an independent certification body. Implementation support helps you get ready for that audit. Keeping the two separate protects the credibility of your certificate.

Your business

Owns the management system

  • Confirms scope, sites and objectives
  • Assigns internal owners and approves policies
  • Operates the controls and keeps the evidence

Implementation support

Our team and agreed delivery partners in the UAE and India

  • Scopes the work and runs the gap assessment
  • Builds documentation and guides control implementation
  • Prepares you for internal audit, management review and the certification audit

Independent certification body

Chosen by you, separate from the implementation team

  • Audits your management system against the standard
  • Decides whether to grant certification
  • Issues the certificate and carries out surveillance audits
What you can expect from us: clear scope in writing, defined milestones and deliverables, a plain-language quotation that separates consultancy fees from certification-body fees, and disclosure of who will do the work. We do not guarantee certification, timelines or tender outcomes, because the audit decision belongs to the certification body.

How it works

From first enquiry to audit: four steps

  1. Share your requirements

Tell us your business, headcount, locations, the standard you have in mind and the timeline you are working to.

    You and our team
  2. Confirm standard and scope

We help confirm which standard fits, what the scope should cover and what already exists in your organisation.

    Our team
  3. Receive a proposal

You receive a scoped proposal for implementation support and, if you want it, an introduction to independent certification bodies to quote separately.

Our team, certification bodies quote directly
  4. Implement, prepare, get audited

Implementation support works through the agreed milestones and readiness checks. The independent certification body then conducts its audits and makes the certification decision.

    Implementation team, then certification body

Managed ISO implementation packages

One scoped package, delivered by the right people

Instead of piecing together consultants yourself, you can buy a managed implementation package from us. We scope it, agree milestones with you and coordinate delivery, using approved partners where that is the better fit. Independent certification is arranged separately with the certification body.

What a package can include

  • Initial requirements discussion
  • Gap assessment against the standard
  • Management-system documentation
  • Risk assessment and treatment support, where the standard calls for it
  • Process and control implementation guidance
  • Staff awareness and training
  • Internal audit preparation or support
  • Management review preparation
  • Certification-audit readiness support
  • Remediation support, where agreed
Not every item is in every package. Final scope depends on the standard, company size, number of locations, complexity and the agreed statement of work. Certification auditing and certificate issuance are handled by the independent certification body, not by us.

ISO certification costs in the UAE

What drives the cost of ISO certification in the UAE

There is no single price. The total is the sum of two separate costs: what you pay for implementation support, and what the independent certification body charges for auditing. Quotes only compare fairly when both are shown separately.

  • Standard and scope of certification
  • Number of employees
  • Number of sites
  • Complexity of business operations
  • Maturity of your existing management system
  • Amount of implementation work required
  • Certification-body fees and audit duration
  • Travel and other applicable expenses

Implementation consultancy fees

Paid to the team preparing you: gap assessment, documentation, training, internal audit support and audit-readiness work. Set by the agreed scope and effort.

Certification-body fees

Paid to the independent body that audits you: audit days, certificate issue and ongoing surveillance audits. Set by that body, based on your scope and size. Ask each body for a full quote including exclusions.

We do not publish indicative prices without knowing your scope. Tell us your standard, size and timeline and we will prepare a scoped quotation for the implementation work.

A detailed cost guide is in preparation and will be linked here when published.

Primary sources worth reading

ISO explains that it does not perform certification. In the UAE, the Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC) accredits certification bodies; other bodies may be accredited abroad. Whichever you choose, check the certificate and scope.

What this website is not

This website is not an accredited certification body and does not issue ISO certificates. It is independent of ISO and of any certification or accreditation body. We have no client logos, testimonials or badges here because we only publish what we can evidence.

FAQ

ISO certification in the UAE: common questions

What does ISO certification mean?

It means an independent certification body has audited your management system against the requirements of an ISO standard, such as ISO 9001 or ISO/IEC 27001, and found it conforms. The certificate applies to the scope that was audited.

Does ISO issue certificates?

No. ISO develops standards but does not perform certification or issue certificates. Certification is carried out by external certification bodies.

What is the difference between ISO implementation and certification?

Implementation is the work of building and operating a management system that meets a standard, which you can do yourself or with consultants. Certification is the independent audit that confirms it. A good setup keeps the two separate.

How much does ISO certification cost in the UAE?

It depends on the standard, scope, headcount, number of sites, existing maturity and the work required. The total combines implementation consultancy fees and certification-body fees, which are quoted by different parties. We provide a scoped quotation rather than a generic price.

How long does ISO implementation take?

There is no universal timeline. It depends on how much of the system you already have, the scope and how quickly your team can provide evidence. A gap assessment gives a realistic plan. We do not promise fixed durations.

Which ISO standard should my business consider?

Start with what your customers, tenders and risks require. Security questionnaires usually point to ISO/IEC 27001; quality requirements to ISO 9001; AI governance to ISO/IEC 42001; privacy to ISO/IEC 27701; continuity to ISO 22301; IT service delivery to ISO/IEC 20000-1. You do not need all of them.

Can an India-based team support a UAE business?

Yes, much implementation work such as gap assessment, documentation and training can be delivered remotely. Where partners in India or the UAE are involved, you should be told who they are, what they will deliver and who is accountable before you sign. Scope that needs on-site presence is agreed upfront.

How do I check whether a certification body is accredited?

Ask which accreditation body accredited it and for which standard and scope, then check that body’s directory. You can also search IAF CertSearch, which covers accredited certificates. In the UAE, certification bodies may be accredited by the Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC) or by accreditation bodies abroad.

Is ISO certification legally mandatory for every UAE company?

No. ISO management-system standards are voluntary. Certification may still be required by a customer, tender, contract or regulator, or adopted to manage risk. Check the specific requirement you are facing.

Can implementation support be provided remotely?

Largely, yes, through video sessions and shared documents. Certification audits are scheduled by the certification body, which decides how much can be done remotely and what must be done on site.
